confectdissect is a design studio founded on the principles of repetition and questioning. Our name reflects our approach: dissecting ideas and reconstructing them through an ongoing cycle of exploration. Our process is straightforward yet dynamic. We start with a concept, merge different elements, and experiment with how they interact to create what we call a “test product”—a momentary pause in the immersive process of designing something new. This can range from an object to a set, or even from an object to a film or a photographic essay.

While fully functional and ready to use, we view our designs as prototypes of a process that’s intentionally left open. By recognizing them as part of a dynamic course, they remain in a state of inquiry—constantly shaping and influencing what comes next. This ensures that our work is never static; it’s always evolving. Each prototype builds upon the last, creating a body of work that is continuously open to reinterpretation and new possibilities.
